Introducing Michael Schwartz!
Following a comprehensive search by ISI’s Board of Directors, we are delighted to welcome Michael Schwartz as our new CEO.
Michael has an outstanding background and track record of success in leading client-focused services in not-for-profit organizations. But, most importantly, he lives and breathes our mission.
Through the past 6 years, Michael has been the Executive Director for the Oral Health Partnership. Under his leadership, OHP has grown from 3 to 5 clinics and annually serves 11,000 kids in need of dental services. In his personal life, Michael and his spouse are foster parents to two children, ages 2 and 4. He also has a special guardian relationship with a young man who has developmental disabilities. As he prepares to join the ISI team, Michael said, "I am most looking forward to getting to know the team and our clients around the state. I've worked or been friends with people with disabilities most of my life, and I am really passionate about this population. ISI is a strong organization with people who care, and I feel lucky to be joining the team to do what I love!"
Michael will be joining us in mid- January. His start date will allow a period of overlap with Melissa Michel, which will allow for a smooth transition in leadership. ISI's Board of Directors truly appreciates Melissa’s help and support during this transition, and we continue to hold her in our highest esteem. Once Michael is officially on-board, please take a moment to greet Michael and get to know our new executive leader.
ISI's future is bright.
